Kansas Has New Vet Employment Site

July 08, 2013 |

If you’re a job-seeking veteran in Kansas, a new website by the state has pulled together information on educational opportunities, jobs and healthcare for servicemembers. KanVet includes employment and educational resources, including employment guides and forms, and links to programs such as KANSASWORKS and KanSERVE, which connects veterans with skills translators and job postings in the state. Interested in-state employers can also take the “hire a veteran” pledge, which highlights organizations willing to hire veterans.

The site is under the umbrella of the Kansas Commission on Veterans’ Affairs, whose stated mission is “to provide Kansas veterans, their relatives, and other eligible dependents with information, advice, direction, and assistance through the coordination of programs and services.”
