Vet Job Alert: Kiss Needs a Roadie

March 28, 2012 |

Kiss

Who wouldn’t want to have a job where you can rock ‘n’ roll all night? Gene Simmons and the boys from Kiss want to extend that opportunity to a veteran.

The legendary rock band is still around and kicking, and has contributed to veterans support efforts before, notably the Wounded Warrior Project (see their support video). As part of the Hiring our Heroes prject, they’re now offering to give a job to a veteran who can serve as a touring set carpenter during their 40-city summer tour with Motley Crue from July 14 through Sept. 25. The veteran be part of the team that assembles the KISS stage set, helps run effects during the show and takes down the set afterwards. Applicants do not need to be trained in carpentry, but can expect to work long hours — doesn’t sound like it’ll be a “party every day,” but it’s a nice gesture from the band to veterans.

To apply for this job, send an email to hiringourheroes@uschamber.com with your resume and contact details.

I am an unemployed veteran as well and applied but will not be hurt if I am over looked by any means. This opportunity is amazing and greatly appreciated! I have loved Kiss since I was little and have a friend that is the drum roadie. I have the skill sets as do probably most of the other applicants. Good luck to all that apply.
